Proposal Review Team for Study/Research Applications in Preparation for Postgraduate Studies for Information Systems Service Officers

Background

    1. This initiative aims to empower human capital among Information Systems Service Officers by strengthening expertise and professionalism in their respective fields of study or research.
    2. To assist in reviewing and providing improvement recommendations for study/research proposals.
    3. To contribute toward enhancing government service delivery through relevant academic and research disciplines.
    4. To ensure that submitted proposals meet established criteria and possess the potential to strengthen government digital service delivery through the proposed area of study or research.

Objective

    1. To support the Delivery of Government Digital Services.
      To assist officers in conducting studies/research that bring meaningful impact to the digital service delivery of the government.
    2. To ensure the Quality of Studies/Research in Line with GovTech Initiatives.
      To ensure that the academic quality of study and research aligns with the digital era, incorporating digital technology, innovation, and automation within the public sector to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.
    3. Ensuring Alignment With the Organization’s Business Needs.

      To ensure that the proposed study/research aligns with digital transformation efforts that significantly benefit the organisation by improving competitiveness, innovation, and operational efficiency.

    4. Empowering Human Capital
      To form individuals who are more knowledgeable, confident in carrying out studies/research that have potential and high organizational impact

Terms of Reference

    1. To review study proposals to ensure they meet academic standards and are relevant to the proposed field of study.
    2. To assess the overall credibility and significance of the research, especially in enhancing government service delivery.
    3. To provide recommendations to strengthen and enhance the competitiveness of the proposal.
    4. To suggest additional resources or alternative approaches, particularly those aligned with government digitalisation initiatives, projects, or programmes, to further support the proposal.
    5. To encourage applicants to produce high-quality proposals that contribute to digital transformation in the public sector.
