The National Economic Action Council Meeting No. 7/2023 on 11 December 2023 agreed that GovTech Malaysia should be established and implemented in phases. Among the things that need to be implemented to realize the aspirations of GovTech and the creation of GovTech Malaysia is the development and design of integrated digital services/products. In this regard, the National Digital Department is implementing the development of a government mobile application as an integrated government service platform that brings together official information and government services to the people and stakeholders. The development of this mobile application ensures that there is no overlap of functions between agencies through a digital service approach through Government Technology (GovTech) for the entire government (Whole of Government – WoG).
The development of services within the mobile application ecosystem emphasizes digital security and enables users to experience a consistent user interface and experience (UI/UX), making it easier for them to access government digital services. The implementation of this mobile application also ensures the consolidation of resources through an integrated service ecosystem, allowing for optimized resource utilization and the reduction of bureaucratic barriers between agencies.
This government mobile application encompasses various features designed to provide convenient access to government services through a single platform, while supporting the implementation of the “No Wrong Door” policy in line with the Malaysia MADANI concept, which emphasizes sustainability, well-being, and innovation. Key features include digital cards, notifications and alerts, and integration with government services such as license checks and more. The development of this mobile application also prioritizes user data security and protection to ensure confidentiality and data integrity, along with a user-friendly interface and experience (UI/UX).
This government mobile application serves as a digital gateway for citizens to interact with the government, access essential services, and obtain information on governmental affairs with ease. By leveraging technology and innovation, this mobile platform enhances efficiency, transparency, and public trust in government services.
