National Digital Department (NDD)

Introduction

 – JPICT JDN was established to consider and approve applications for technical approval of ICT projects for the procurement of systems, networks,
ICT hardware, software and services at JDN. JPICT also plays a role in coordinating and monitoring the operational implementation of the department’s ICT projects based on the ICT Strategic Plan (ISP).

– All divisions at JDN are required to submit ICT project proposals to JPICT JDN to obtain technical approval.
before being implemented.

Purpose

To ensure that the planning and implementation of the department’s ICT program is carried out in line with the government’s ICT policy.

Field of Work

 I.       Setting direction and strategies for the development and implementation of agency ICT;

ii. Plan, identify and propose resources such as expertise, manpower and finance required for
implementing the agency’s ICT direction/strategy;

iii.   Plan and coordinate the development and implementation of the agency’s ICT programs/projects;

iv. Coordinate and standardize the agency’s ICT development to be in line with the organization’s strategic plan and ICT strategic plan
agency;

v. Approve agency ICT projects based on actual needs and with prudent spending and compliance
relevant current regulations;

vi. Follow and monitor the development of the agency’s ICT program as well as understand the needs, problems and issues faced in the development and implementation of ICT;

vii. Planning and determining ICT security measures;

viii. Submitting ICT procurement that has been approved at the Agency’s JPICT level to the Ministry’s JPICT for approval; and

ix. Submitting progress reports on ICT projects that have been approved by JTISA to the Ministry’s JPICT within the specified period.
