The Strategic Development and Digital Architecture (BSA) Division Section, National Digital Department (JDN) organized a Career Plan and Competency Development Workshop for Information Systems Services 2026 – 2030 on 10 and 11 February 2026 at Cyberview Resort & Spa, Cyberjaya Selangor. This program was attended by 50 officers consisting of ICT Consultants, selected Ministry ICT Managers, Representatives of Information Systems Services Associations and Unions, namely System Analysts (PERJASA), Information Technology Assistant Officers Union (KPPTM) and Computer Technician Services Union (CTSU) as well as representatives of divisional officers at JDN.
YBrs. Deputy Director General II of JDN, YBrs. Encik Mohd Zamri bin Selamat delivered a welcoming speech in conjunction with this workshop. The next ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Puan Azlinda binti Mohd Jan who also delivered a closing speech as the official closing of the workshop.
The Information Systems Services Career and Competency Plan Development Workshop 2026–2030 was held to formulate a Career and Competency Plan for Information Systems Services Officers for a period of five years in a clear, structured and comprehensive manner. This planning covers aspects of management and human resource development in Information Systems Services in line with the new mandate of the JDN which includes improving ICT governance, strengthening GovTech, NCII requirements and the increasingly challenging and dynamic role of data regulation.
In addition, this workshop also discussed the strategic direction towards the development of digital human capital that supports career development and competency enhancement to ensure that Information Systems Service Officers remain competent, high-performing and prepared to meet current service needs and challenges.
The content of this workshop was strengthened through strategic sharing sessions that focused on several main agendas, including the direction of development of the Information Systems Services Career and Competency Plan, the Public Sector Digitalization Plan 2026–2030, as well as sharing best practices in career and competency development for the Engineer service classification.
