Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, Warm Greetings, and Salam Malaysia MADANI.
A warm welcome to the official website of the National Digital Department (JDN), formerly known as the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU). In line with the rapid advancement of global technology, JDN’s role continues to be strengthened in driving the nation’s digitalisation agenda, enhancing the efficiency of public service delivery, and empowering the country’s digital economy.
Building on its legacy, JDN continues to play a leading role in the digital transformation of the public sector. This rebranding represents more than just a change of name; it reflects a broader mission to drive the development of a sustainable, innovative and resilient digital government. The adoption of emerging technologies in service delivery, including artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain, cybersecurity and cloud computing, forms the core of the country’s people-centric and data-driven GovTech ecosystem. JDN is committed to serving as the government’s ICT technical reference centre, ensuring that digitalisation initiatives are implemented efficiently, flexibly, securely and comprehensively, in line with the Whole of Government (WoG) principle. This approach is expected to enhance the quality of public service delivery, strengthen public confidence, and boost the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage.
As the National Digital Technical Department, JDN will continue to play a strategic role in policy setting, the design and implementation of digital services, the provision of ICT infrastructure and security, data sharing, talent development, and the fostering of innovation at all levels of government agencies. The national digitalisation ecosystem will continue to be strengthened through a people-centric approach, underpinned by the use of advanced technology, data management with integrity, and responsive service delivery. At the heart of these efforts is robust, comprehensive and transparent governance at every level of administration, coupled with digital operational efficiency.
As the Head of Information Systems Services, I am committed to continuously strengthening digital talent development among public sector ICT officers, ensuring that they remain relevant and competitive in addressing ever-evolving technological challenges. Efforts to cultivate innovation, enhance competencies, and foster a spirit of cross-agency cooperation will continue to be intensified. I call upon all members of the National Digital Department and public sector ICT officers to continue working hand in hand, strengthening synergy and sustaining their dedicated efforts towards achieving JDN’s vision, mission and functions, as well as realising the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI and the National Digital Agenda.
It is hoped that this official website will continue to serve as an effective communication platform for delivering the latest information on JDN’s initiatives and services to all segments of society.
“Connecting, Innovating, Building the Nation’s Digital Future.”
