The National Economic Action Council Meeting No. 7/2023 on December 11, 2023 agreed to establish and implement GovTech Malaysia in phases. Key initiatives to realize the GovTech aspiration and establishment of GovTech Malaysia include the development and design of integrated digital services/products. In line with this, the National Digital Department is developing a mobile government application as an integrated government service platform that consolidates official information and government services for the public and stakeholders. This mobile application development ensures no duplication of functions among agencies through a digital service approach via Government Technology (GovTech) for the Whole of Government (WoG).

The development of services within the mobile application ecosystem emphasizes digital security and enables users to have a uniform user interface and experience (UI/UX) to facilitate their use of government digital services. Implementation of this mobile application also ensures resource consolidation through an integrated service ecosystem to optimize resource usage and address existing bureaucracy among agencies.

The government mobile application encompasses various features designed to provide easy access to government services on a single platform and ensures the implementation of a no wrong door policy aligned with the Malaysia MADANI concept of sustainability, welfare and capability. These features include digital ID, notifications and alerts, integration of government services such as license checks and others. Development of the mobile application also focuses on user data security and protection to ensure confidentiality and data integrity, along with a user-friendly UI/UX.

This government mobile application serves as a digital gateway for citizens to interact with the government, access essential services and easily obtain information on government affairs. By leveraging technology and innovation, this mobile application platform can enhance efficiency, transparency and public trust in government services.
